pH (Potential Hydrogen) is a term denoting relative acidity or alkalinity of water, and is measured between a range from 0 to 14.
7 is neutral. Anything above is alkaline, while anything below is acidic.
poolgard pH Increase and pH Decrease are compatible with all pool sanitizers.
the ideal pH range is 7.2-7.6 (except fiberglass pools which should be kept at 7.0 to avoid the potential build-up of black spot – a discolouration of the pool surface)
pH should be between 7.0-7.4 before shock-dosing or adding water balance chemicals to avoid the occurrence of cloudiness in the pool water.
