Poolgard HTC Chlorine - an unstabilized granular chlorine, particularly suited to shock-dosing pools to burn out contaminants.
Active ingredient present is calcium hypochlorite.
Primary use: ideal for shock-dosing as it packs a mighty punch to knock out algae, and it’s un-stabilized, thereby avoiding the build-up of excessive stabilizer level in the pool water.
Poolgard HTC Chlorine
USAGE INSTRUCTIONS: When used for shock-dosing, ensure pH is in the range 7.0-7.4 to avoid cloudiness.
Poolgard HTC chlorine must be pre-dissolved in a bucket of water before adding to the pool. In the morning, add no more than 500g to a standard household size bucket, stir and cover. In the evening decant the clear liquid only into the pool. Avoid stirring up the insoluble residue, which should be discarded.
Multiple buckets may be required depending on the dosage. Always shock dose in a single hit!
During the summer period, shock dosing should be carried out every 10-14 days. Shock dose at the rate of 1kg per 45,000 litres.
As Poolgard HTC chlorine is an un-stabilized chlorine, where it is used for daily dosing, the addition of Poolgard Chlorine Stabilizer is necessary to prolong its effectiveness.
