This balancer is used to increase hardness in swimming pools. Poolgard Hardness Increase Correct level will avoid corrosive water condition.

Active ingredient present as calcium chloride.

Water hardness represents the amount of calcium and magnesium salts in the water. In areas of "soft water" where the water hardness is low, Poolgard Hardness Increase must be added to bring the pool water into balance.

Correct Water Hardness:

Helps prevent corrosion of metal equipment and etching of plaster pool surfaces (particularly important in avoiding corrosion in pool heaters and pumps and any concrete type pool surface)
reduces possibility of staining of plaster finishes
minimizes skin sensitivity and eye irritation
helps maintain clarity of pool water
increases effectiveness of sanitizers

Ideal Level: 200ppm
Acceptable range 180-250 ppm

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS:

To ensure against cloudiness occurring, always check pH before the addition of Hardness Increase and adjust pH to 7.4 or below. Pre-dissolve in water and then add to pool perimeter.

The most effective method of lowering the hardness level is pool dilution with tap water. This will also lower the total dissolved solids (TDS).
