A dry acid used to reduce chlorine loss in sunlight. Screens out UV rays.
Active ingredient present as iso-cyanuric acid
The UV rays of the sun will break down un-stabilized chlorine. The addition of chlorine stabilizer to the pool acts as a “sun screen” reducing the amount of chlorine loss. The stabilizer level needs to be maintained at the correct level for optimum performance. A low level will not provide sufficient protection, while an excessive level can lead to a “chlorine block” where the stabilizer prevents the chlorine from effectively working as a sanitizer.
Acceptable range: 30-80 ppm
USAGE INSTRUCTIONS:
This chemical is difficult to dissolve. It can be added to a sock and then placed in the skimmer basket or broadcast over the pool floor to dissolve slowly over a few days.
