Materials

Aluminium:

The aluminium frame is precision welded on preformed jigs. The weld joints are then ground down to form attractive smooth seams. The frame is then powder-coated for extra strength and protection against oxidation.

Teak- Tectona Grandis:

High quality Indonesian FSC teak are used in the manufacture of this outdoor table. Teak wood is cleverly cut into functional planks and laminated for dimensional stability. This material is selected for its beauty, durability, and weather resistance qualities, providing a refreshing and warm finish to the backyard, patio and garden. Teak naturally transforms over time into a elegant, unique gray, which enhances its charm and character. This aging process not only boosts its durability but also allows each piece to develop its own distinctive appearance. The golden hue can be maintained by applying coloured teak stain.

Being a high quality hardwood, it will ensure long term use in our extreme NZ seasons.

Product Care:

Aluminium frame: no particular care is required. From time to time, clean with a soft brush and soapy water and rinse clean. Avoid scratching the powder-coated surface.

Teak: No particular care is required, unless if you want to keep the golden brown hue. In this case, regularly stain the table with a suitable high quality teak wood stain/preserver.

If dark, black patches develop on the teak surface, this is due to the growth of mould on the table. This can happen if the table is in an area where there is a lot of tree growth and mould spores are present in the air. If the table stays wet for a period of time, the mould spores can grow in these damp conditions. It is not a sign that the wood is rotting. Treatment can be effected by cleaning with a mild bleach solution. Alternatively, it can be sanded off.
